Once you have braces, it doesn’t take long for you to learn just how easy it is for food to get stuck in your braces. It is important that you carefully choose what types of foods you eat with your braces on. Some foods are too hard, sticky, or crunchy to eat with braces because they will break the brackets off of your teeth. With a broken bracket, your braces aren’t properly positioning your teeth as intended, since the bracket isn’t attached to your tooth. To avoid broken brackets & food getting stuck in your braces, we recommend staying away from the list below!
We’re sure you’re bummed about not being able to eat any raw carrots, but the list below shows all of the delicious foods that are just fine to eat with braces on! As you’ll notice, soft foods make up a majority of the list. You do not have to change your diet to only the foods listed below, as these are just examples!
